Metron is veterinary imaging software for use with DR and CR radiography systems.  World-class imaging algorithms produce the best image possible from the imaging hardware.   Metron stores and organizes images (radiographs, ultrasounds, photographs, etc) and has been designed with the veterinarian in mind.  Beyond great images and the easy-to-use interface, Metron also provides many value-added features for both the equine and companion animal practitioner.

Metron supports adding notes, accurate physical measurements, and other mark-up to images.  Metron's report generator allows the easy creation and editing of formatted, multi-page reports.  Starting with raw images, and quickly and easily produce final reports.

Metron Imaging was started in 1999 by Monique and John Craig as a result of their horse having hoof problems.  Based on the research and design work on bio-mechanics that they had done, Metron was developed to have an automated way to calibrate radiographs and perform key hoof measurements.  They have done years of research with a number of equine podiatry experts. Published papers by independent university researchers have tested the Metron system for accuracy and have concluded that it is capable of making accurate and useful measurements of the hoof.  No other software system exists that makes these measurements - one reason is the Metron system has been granted a US patent. 

In the beginning, Metron was specific to the equine hoof but they have expanded and now the Metron product applies to Companion Animal, Dental and, of course, Equine.  From the ground up, this is uniquely a Veterinary product.
